1. SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP AT KWAZULU-NATAL CANOE CLUB
- This is for all boys who come down and train for Maritzburg College at Camps Drift. You need to join the KwaZulu-Natal Canoe Club as social members, for the use of the facilities. This will give them access to the clubhouse, toilets, showers, gym.
We run the year for the school children from February to end January, which allows for new children, 1st term paddling etc.
We are appealing to the coaches/parents of the children to please ensure that the children are signed up correctly. It is really unfair on those parents/children who are paying. The club is going to be extremely strict on access. Please inform the children they are not to ask the guard to let them in as she/he has been instructed not to.
2. MEMBER OF MARITZBURG COLLEGE CLUB IN ORDER TO RACE
This is for boys who would like to do senior races over and above the normal school races, and therefore need to be affiliated to the Kwazulu Natal Canoe Union
This is different and separate to Social Membership.
You will need to ensure that your CSA racing license is up to date. You go to www.canoesa.com and either renew your license or purchase a new one if you a new paddler. This license runs annually from date of purchase. I will only be able to activate this license if your social fees and racks are paid up.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE SOCIAL FEES RUN FROM FEB TO END JANUARY and CSA ANNUAL FROM DATE OF PURCHASE
So don’t be alarmed if your CSA license is suspended until your social fees are paid. As soon as they are paid we will unsuspend the CSA license, and it will run to the end of its period.
SCHOOLS RACES
Should your son only be doing schools races he does not have register as in No. 2, he can just enter on the bank at all the schools races.
