The KNCC Dice (or Time Trial) takes place every Thursday evening from the clubhouse at Camps Drift in Pietermaritzburg.
The dice starts at 5:30pm and comprises four laps (approx 8km) of paddling on the flatwaters of Camps Drift. This is a great way to build up your fitness or just to learn the basic elements of paddling in groups.
The dice is open to all paddlers, who are also welcome to join us for a drink in the clubhouse after the dice. The atmosphere is very festive and jovial, and a great opportunity for socialising with your fellow paddlers and others. We often have sponsored dices, especially before our major events, and there are always great lucky draw prizes and other give-aways.
In the build-up to the annual Dusi Canoe Marathon a number of Dusi Dices are held to help athletes prepare for the famous three day race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
